Alfredo picked us up at the bus station and we walked to his house. It is a colonial structure, beautifully renovated by both Alfredo, an engineer and Liliana, his wife, an architect. They rent 1 room with 2 double beds with excellent mattresses (rare in Cuba), air-conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge, private safe, adjoining bathroom with shower; all spotless and cleaned daily. The dining room is very spacious and beautifully furnished; excellent and varied meals are served by Liliana, a true Cordon Blue. A television is at the disposal of guests, as is a garden terrace with Adirondack-type chairs- great for reading or having a drink. This is one of the best casas we know after 8 years of holidays in Cuba. The hosts are cultivated, friendly professionals and we will take great pleasure in returning on our next trip to Baracoa..
